On March 15, 2019, the Oregon State Police responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 30 near milepost 92 in Clatsop County. A 2008 black Jeep Liberty, driven by Windy Olive Jenkins, 47-year-old, was traveling eastbound on Hwy 30, when she left the roadway for an unknown reason and continued down the embankment into a tree. The driver sustained fatal injuries as a result of the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
