On Thursday, July 29, 2021 at approximately 10:43 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a two vehicle collision on Hwy 99E at Boones Ferry Rd. Preliminary investigation revealed a Hyundai Santa Fe, operated by Jose Sandoval Flores (40) of Woodburn, was northbound on Hwy 99E and turned left, onto Boones Ferry Rd, into the path of a southbound Harley Davidson motorcycle operated by Jerald Stewart (64) of Salem. Stewart sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. Flores was not injured.
