On Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at approximately 7:30 PM Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to the report of a single vehicle crash on Holland Loop Rd. near milepost 3. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Toyota Tacoma PU, operated by John Festvog (37) of Colfax, Iowa, was traveling on Holland Loop Rd. when he left the roadway and struck a tree. Festvog sustained fatal injuries in the crash and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Speed, alcohol, and lack of safety belt use are being investigated as factors in this crash.
