On Thursday, June 28, 2018, at approximately 7:41 PM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a report of a single vehicle crash involving a motorcycle near MP 72 on SR-35. Preliminary investigation revealed that a black 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle, operated by Steven Marshall PATRICK, age 31, of Portland, was traveling southbound on SR-35 when for unknown reasons the motorcycle lost control in the southbound lane, left the southbound shoulder and crashed into a large gravel shoulder. Patrick suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The southbound shoulder of SR-35 was the only area impacted by the crash. OSP was assisted at the scene by the Hood River County Sheriff’s Office, Parkdale Fire and Rescure and ODOT.
