Fatal near Elkton, May 15

On May 12, 2018 at about 2:40am, Reedsport PD received a report that a motorist had seen taillights in a ditch on Hwy 138W near Elkton. Police, Fire, and Medical personnel were dispatched to the area to investigate. A 2002 Nissan SUV was located approximately 150 feet off the roadway.  The operator and lone occupant of the vehicle, Leona Robb 67 years of age from Florence, was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. Preliminary investigation indicates that the driver was not conscious when the vehicle left the roadway.
