On Wednesday, May 22, 2019 at approximately 9:45 P.M. Oregon State Police and emergency personnel responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Hwy 101 mile post 223 near Lakeside. Preliminary investigation reveals that a Ford pickup was traveling on Hwy 101 when for unknown reasons left the roadway and rolled. The operator, and lone occupant, sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Name is being withheld pending notifications. The driver is identified as Joey Vandenhey (60) of Lakeside, OR.
