On Sunday June 3, 2018 at approximately 10:12 AM Oregon State Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on State Route 3 (Enterprise / Lewiston Hwy) mile post 36.5, six miles north of Enterprise in Wallowa County. Preliminary investigation revealed a 2005 Mercury sedan driven by Joanne NORRIS, age 62, of Pendleton was southbound on SR 3 when for unknown reasons left the roadway and rolled several times. Norris sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
