FBI National Academy Graduate, Sept. 29

He was raised in Tillamook, began his law enforcement career in Waldport and has been with the Newport Police Dept for 20-years. According to a news release, Lt. Jason Malloy recently graduated from the FBI National Academy in Quantico, VA Sept. 18, 2015. “Internationally known for its academic excellence, the National Academy Program, held at the FBI Academy, offers ten weeks of advanced communication, leadership, and fitness training for selected officers having proven records as professionals within their agencies. On average, these officers have 19 years of law enforcement experience, and usually return to their agencies to serve in executive-level positions. The FBI National Academy is a professional development course for U.S. and international law enforcement leaders. It serves to improve the administration of justice in police departments and agencies at home and abroad, and to raise law enforcement standards, knowledge, and cooperation worldwide.” He is the third Newport PD officer to graduate from the FBI Academy following Rt. Lt. Dave Teem and Chief Mark Miranda.
