Central Oregon Coast Rescue personnel rushed to Bob’s Beach, south of Yachats on Sunday, March 3rd to a report of a female that had fallen into the ocean and was being swept out by waves. According to reports, the USCG received the call at 11:42 a.m. and dispatched a helicopter as well as motor lifeboats from Newport. However, when they arrived, the unidentified female was already out of the water after a male in her party jumped in after her. Both made it back to the rocky shore and then assisted to shore. They were treated for injuries and released.
