The Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, which supports the Jordan Cove project on Coos Bay’s North Spit, forwarded this news release from Jordan Cove’s Donna Nichols, Community Affairs, to its members and the media Friday, July 7.  Jordan Cove and FERC are finalizing the Scoping period (ending July 10), to submit comments directly to FERC.  We need a big push to get supportive letters on the docket. Please submit a letter of support. Feel free to use or tweak the ideas below. Comments can be a short statement like, “I support Jordan Cove because it will help our region economically, bring jobs to rural Oregon, and provide significant public benefits to the citizens of southern Oregon.” Or you can submit a longer, more personalized statement on why you support the project. Please note that you can file as an individual and by no means does it need to be on behalf of your company or organization.
