“FIDDLER ON THE ROOF”, a classic, family Broadway musical, is the 15th dinner theatre production of Logos Players at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Coos Bay. Set in 1905 Russia, we meet Tevye’s family of five daughters, their suitors, a meddling matchmaker, the Rabbi, and many of their friends and neighbors in this small Jewish settlement. The music is catchy and memorable, the humor sparkles, the characters are familiar and colorful, and the conflict of tradition versus change is compelling. A large cast has been assembled from all the community theatres in town, plus new performers AND a small orchestra! Stacy Rose, known in the community as THE Bay Area folk dance instructor is our choreographer. “Fiddler on the Roof” opens Friday, February 26 and runs three weekends through March 12. Two Sunday matinees are scheduled, as well. Dinners on Friday and Saturday nights begin at 5:30 pm and the show at 6:30 pm. The two Sunday matinees begin at 2 pm. Contact the Gloria Lutheran Church office at 541-267-2347 between 9 to 2:00 pm, Monday through Friday. You are urged to reserve tickets early because of limited seating for the dinner shows.
