Due to the extreme fire danger, the Oregon Dept. of Lands announced Friday that the Elliott State Forest of Southwest Oregon and the South Slough National Estuarine Reserve south of Charleston are closed to the public. A Red Flag Warning has been issued for Southwest Oregon due to the extreme dry conditions and potential for wildfires.
