News release CFPA. With warm and windy weather in the forecast for the next week, fire season conditions are quickly approaching. Coos Forest Protective Association (CFPA) is monitoring fire danger levels and weather conditions closely to determine the start of fire season. CFPA wants to remind the public that once fire season is declared all debris and burn barrel burning is prohibited. People that have burned recently should check their burns and ensure that they are out. If you have piles that you have not burned now is the time to cover them and wait for fall when the rains come back. Once fire season is imposed the use of exploding targets and tracer ammunition will be prohibited. For more information on fire season and fire restrictions you can find CFPA on the web at www.coosfpa.net, call the closure line at 541-267-1789 or follow us on Facebook.
