The Fire Season effectively closed on Monday, Oct. 9, 2023 for the South Oregon Coast according to the Coos Forest Protective Association’s website. “Please remember to practice fire safety when burning or recreating outdoors. If you live within city limits or a rural fire protection district please check with the relevant local agencies for further information. CFPA would like to thank the public, our members, landowners, cooperating agencies, and industrial workers for their assistance during the 2023 Fire Season!”
