CFPA responded to a fire in the Humbug Mountain area south of Port Orford just after 3:00 P.M. September 1, 2020. Firefighters from CFPA, Oregon Department of Forestry (ODF), US Forest Service (USFS), Gold Beach FD, Sixes RFD, Ophir RFD, and Port Orford RFD worked late into the evening and stopped the fire at four acres. Firefighters will be on the fire again today mopping up any remaining hot spots. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
