A 37-foot wooden fishing boat ran aground on the Central Oregon Coast Saturday night, Dec. 14. “The Nat” was reportedly attempting to return to Yaquina Bay at Newport when it struck the South Jetty in darkness and patchy fog. The boat’s skipper reportedly suffered broken ribs during the collision. There were three other crewmembers on board, but they were not injured.
