Fishing vessel burns, May 3

Four people were rescued off of a burning fishing vessel Thursday, May 2, near Bandon.  According to reports, the U.S. Coast Guard responded with a helicopter from Sector North Bend and a Motor Life Boat from Charleston.  The fire was on board the “Ann Kathleen.”  The four were rescued by the crew from the commercial fishing vessel “Lynoma.”  The Coast Guard helped ferry the fishermen back to Charleston.
