Coos Bay, OR – Southwestern Oregon Community College is offering online Flagger Certification Training during the 2020/2021 Summer term with instructor Michelle Holifield. Michelle has extensive experience in the field of flagging and brings her expertise to the class. Registration is currently open. The online summer session of this course will begin on June 22, 2020 and the cost is $129. If you are motivated, you can complete this certification in as little as one day. This course will provide you with the knowledge to become certified in traffic control and flagging. You will learn the fundamental principles of traffic control and gain a good understanding of Oregon Department of Transportation regulations. The certification test is included in the cost of the class and is taken at the end of your learning experience. Upon successful completion of the certification you are immediately employable as a flagger. The summer season is also the season for road construction and there is a demand for certified flaggers to fill positions.
