News release CCSO. On 01-28-17 at approximately 1:25 AM, the Coos County Sheriff’s Office responded to Bay Area Hospital regarding the report of a possible stabbing victim at that location. Upon arrival, Deputies contacted Christopher Jennings, 28 yoa of Coos Bay. Jennings was suffering from a puncture wound to his thigh. Jennings had reportedly been attending a campfire party in the Blue Ridge area earlier this night, when he became involved in a physical altercation. During this altercation Jennings allegedly received the aforementioned wound. This matter is still under investigation. Jennings was treated for his injury and discharged from the hospital.
