Marshfield’s boys have a two-game lead on the rest of the 4A Far West League basketball teams with three games remaining in the regular season. The Pirates dropped Bay Area Rivals North Bend into a tie for second place with Brookings-Harbor after the Pirates beat the visiting Bulldogs 47-32 Tuesday night in Coos Bay. Brookings-Harbor won at Siuslaw 51-47 in Florence, and Douglas won at South Umpqua 64-48. On Friday, Marshfield (7-0, 15-6) travels to South Umpqua (0-7, 4-16), North Bend (5-2, 11-9) visits Brookings-Harbor (5-2, 11-10), and Douglas (3-4, 8-12) goes to Siuslaw (1-6, 9-12).
