Top-ranked and unbeaten North Bend has the inside track to the 2016 4A Far West League football title following Friday night’s games. The Bulldogs beat visiting Douglas 43-0 to sit alone on top of the league standings with one game remaining in the regular season. Marshfield and So. Umpqua are tied for second after both won their games as well Friday night. The Lancers won at home over Siuslaw 40-6, while the Pirates traveled to Brookings-Harbor and spoiled the Bruins Homecoming with a 42-0 win. Marshfield (3-1), 6-1) hosts North Bend (3-0, 6-0) this coming Friday at Pete Susick Stadium in Coos Bay. So. Umpqua (3-1, 4-3) gets county rival Douglas (2-2, 4-3) at home in Tri-City. Brookings-Harbor (0-4, 1-6) travels to Siuslaw (0-4, 1-6) in Florence.
