Marshfield and Brookings-Harbor distanced themselves from the rest of the 4A Far West League girls’ basketball field with wins Friday night in Round 6.  The Lady Pirates (6-0, 18-2) are in first place and Brookings-Harbor (5-1, 11-9) is just one game back in second.  However, the rest of the field is three off Marshfield’s lead and two away from the Bruins with four games remaining in the regular season.  The Lady Pirates bettered visiting Siuslaw 59-13 in Coos Bay, while Brookings-Harbor won at Douglas 41-36.  South Umpqua (3-3, 9-10) has a share of third with their Douglas Co. rivals after winning at North Bend 48-38.  On Tuesday, North Bend (1-5, 5-14) is at Marshfield, Brookings-Harbor at Siuslaw (0-6, 3-17) and Douglas (3-3, 10-9) goes to South Umpqua.
