Marshfield and North Bend ended the first half of the 4A Far West League volleyball schedule tied for first place, each with 4-1 records. Both teams won by 3-0 counts Tuesday night. Marshfield traveled to Brookings-Harbor and beat the Bruins 25-5, 25-12, 25-15, while North Bend downed visiting Douglas 25-7, 25-12, 25-23. Siuslaw knocked visiting South Umpqua out of a three-way tie for first with a 3-2 (21-25, 17-25, 25-17, 25-23, 15-13) win over the Lancers in Florence. The second half starts Thursday with Siuslaw (3-2) at Marshfield (4-1), South Umpqua (3-2) at North Bend (4-1) and Brookings-Harbor (0-5) at Douglas (1-4).
