Marshfield took over sole possession of first place in the 4A Far West League with a 3-2 (25-23, 25-16, 14-25, 19-25, 15-9) win over visiting Siuslaw Thursday night in Coos Bay. South Umpqua knocked North Bend out of the tie for first with 3-2 (25-22, 17-25, 16-25, 25-20, 15-8) win at North Bend, and Douglas downed visiting Brookings-Harbor 3-1 (25-13, 25-27, 25-20, 25-18). Next Tuesday, North Bend (4-2) is at Marshfield (5-1), Douglas (2-4) at So. Umpqua (4-2) and Brookings-Harbor (0-6) at Siuslaw (3-3).
