The Transitional Education Department, a college and career preparation program at Southwestern Oregon Community College, will be offering GED exam preparation, college and career preparation, and college placement test preparation for spring term. Students can build a pipeline to enter college, training programs and jobs in high-demand career areas. Orientation is scheduled for March 31st at 9:00 am in the Newmark Center directly across from Wal-Mart, room 204, on the second floor. New students please call 541-888-7116 to reserve a space for the spring term orientation. Classes will be held Monday through Friday between 9:00 am and 3:00 pm, as well as evening classes which are held Monday through Thursday from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Transitional Education Department hours are: Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. The College also offers GED classes in Port Orford, Gold Beach and Brookings. The cost per term is $50.
