Hepatitis A is a serious liver disease that may occur through eating contaminated food or water. Food handlers who have Hepatitis A can easily pass the disease to others. Due to food and water contaminated with the Hepatitis A virus, travelers are highly encouraged to receive the Hepatitis A series. The series is 2 doses 6 months apart. Coos Health & Wellness can bill Oregon Health Plan (WOAH), Blue Cross/Blue Shield, Pacific Source, Lifewise, providence, Moda/ODS, and Lifewise.
