Grandview Fire, July 19

ODF release – Sisters, ORE. – The Grandview fire acreage has been updated to 6,032 acres by using more accurate mapping information. Containment on the fire is now 43%. The community meeting from last night can be viewed online in two places: Microsoft Teams; Facebook. Temperatures over the fire will be in the lower 90’s and winds out of the NW at 5-8 mph. Today, crews will continue mopping up deeper into the fire to 100 feet and more. Snags are a concern around the perimeter of the fire and felling crews will work to remove them to reduce risk of hazard to the other crews and the public. There are evacuation notices in place issued by the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office. Please follow their guidance.
