Guilty of Murder, April 14

A 30-year old California male was found guilty Monday morning, April 13, of Murder and being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Miguel Alejandro Iniguez was found not guilty of Theft in the First Degree by the 12-person jury. Sentencing has been set for May 4. According to a news release from District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, Murder is a Measure 11 offense, punishable by a mandatory sentence of life in prison with a 25-year minimum sentence before being eligible for parole consideration. Iniquez was arrested on the charge of murder following the shooting death of 21-year old Luis Mario Castillo Murillo last July outside the North Bend Community Center.
