A male and female were arrested April 22 after they allegedly intervened on behalf of a family member in a residential dispute. According to reports, 23-year old Joshua Hall & 24-year old Nellie Stevens-Gaither were stopped by a Curry Co. Sheriff’s Deputy while leaving the location where callers to 9-1-1 reported gunfire. The Sheriff’s Office confirmed one shot had been fired from a handgun. Hall was charged with Unlawful Use of a Weapon, Assault in the 3rd Degree and four-counts of Recklessly Endangering. Stevens-Gaither was charged with Assault in the 3rd Degree and Pointing a Firearm at Another. Both were transported to the Curry County Jail at Gold Beach.
