NBPL release – On Friday, May 13th, harpists Lisa Lynne and Aryeh Frankfurter return to North Bend Public Library, with a one-hour harp workshop in the afternoon and an evening concert at 6:30. Both the workshop and the concert are free. At 2:30 pm, the workshop, Hands-on-Harps, will give participants the chance to see that the harp is a beginner-friendly instrument. Attendees will create music, both well-known melodies and improvised tunes. Ms. Lynne created Hands-on-Harps in 2001 and has presented these interactive workshops at hospitals, schools, senior facilities, rehabilitation centers and summer camps. Celtic harps are provided, but space is limited to twenty participants. At 6:30 pm, come enjoy Celtic Harps, Rare Instruments and Wondrous Stories with Lisa Lynne & Aryeh Frankfurter. Both Lynne and Frankfurter tour with Celtic harps and a variety of lesser-known stringed instruments, including nyckelharpa, Ukrainian bandura, bouzouki, cittern and more. They will have CDs for sale at the intermission and after the performance. More information about Lynne and Frankfurter is available online at https://lionharp.com/ and https://lisalynne.com/.
