A bridge repair project will result in two early morning closures of the OR 99E: Willamette River Bridge at Harrisburg. On Sunday, December 6, 2015 the bridge will be closed to all traffic between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m., when traffic volumes are low. During this time, the bridge crew will remove damaged structural members and connection plates. On Sunday, December 13, the bridge will be closed to all traffic between 4 a.m. and 8 a.m. as crews replace the newly designed and fabricated structural members and connection plates. The closures are necessary to facilitate repairs to the bridge caused by an non-permitted oversize load striking the bridge in October. During the closures, travelers will need to take alternate routes on OR 99W or I-5, or delay travel. Electronic message boards will be placed near Junction City and the Brownsville/Halsey exit from Interstate 5 (Exit 216) to alert travelers.
