North Bend Medical Center in Coos and Curry Counties will launch more comprehensive tobacco policies beginning May 1, 2015. The new policies will prohibit cigarettes and all other smoking products, including e-cigarettes and other nicotine delivery products, from being used on properties owned and operated by North Bend Medical Center. With guidance and support from local health leaders, North Bend Medical Center will implement the new policy at all of its Coos and Curry County clinics. Currently, North Bend Medical Center serves approximately 10,453 patients in 5 clinics. The use of nicotine replacement therapy, such as gums, lozenges and patches that are approved by the Federal Drug Administration (FDA), will still be permitted at all locations.
