It may be difficult to believe, but FOOD is really the best way to protect yourself from chronic diseases like heart attack and stroke. Learn how foods can lower cholesterol, increase circulation and heal damaged arteries in a free, comprehensive 3-hour seminar. This strategy session will show you how arterial disease progresses and then walk you through many easy and practical eating tips for reducing your risk. The workshop is taught by Registered Dietitian, Stephanie Polizzi, from OSU Extension Family & Community Health. Healthy Hearts will be held on Thursday, March 19th at the Community Health Education Center from 6 to 9 pm. The center is located at 3950 Sherman Ave in Coos Bay. A second presentation will be held at the Bandon Community Library conference room on Tuesday, Mar 24, from 6 to 9 PM. Bandon library is located at 1204 11th St SW in Bandon.
