Thanks to a quick response, from the public after viewing photos of suspected vandals at the Heceta Head Lighthouse on the Oregon Coast, six individuals have been identified; however, no names or home towns have been released by the authorities. Law enforcement turn to the public Tuesday, June 20th, after the six were seen on camera the evening of June 14th attempting to break into the 129-year old Lighthouse north of Florence on the Central Coast. They also had cans of spray paint with them, but fled when someone approached them. A building was found spray-painted as well as some trail signs, and a window was broken. Officials estimated the cost of damage between $10,000 and $20,000.
