The FBI and Salem Police are asking the public to help identify a man believed to have committed an armed bank robbery earlier this week. The man walked into the Oregon State Credit Union located at 510 Wallace Road NW in Salem a few minutes before 6 pm on Wednesday, January 4th holding what appeared to be a black, semi-automatic handgun. He demanded cash from multiple tellers and left the bank on foot. Witnesses describe the man as: Race: White; Age: Approximately 40 years old; Height: 5’10” – 6’0″; Build: Medium; Clothing: Dark blue heavy coat, black-colored beanie hat, black-colored mask, light blue jeans, dark-colored boots and dark-colored gloves.
