The High Wind Watch is no longer in effect. * Winds…South 40 to 50 with gust to 65 mph. Winds may gust to 80 mph on capes and headlands. * Timing…The strongest winds are expected Thursday night into Friday morning. * Locations include…Southern Oregon coast…including Highway
101 from Brookings to Langlois. * Impacts…Gusty winds will make handling of vehicles more difficult, especially high profile vehicles. Loose items could be blown about. Tree damage and power outages are possible. Precautionary/preparedness actions… A High Wind Warning means a hazardous high wind event is expected or occurring. Sustained wind speeds of at least 40 mph or gusts of 58 mph or more can lead to property damage. Travel will be impacted, especially for high profile vehicles.
