Every year, local Charleston businesses and organizations support the free dinners provided to the needy in the community by the Charleston Community Church. Workers will be needed on two different dates in December. 4 people are needed Tuesday, December 22 at 9:00am to assist in getting the bags ready for delivery. Volunteers can put in 2, 4 or whatever hours they are able. Email Kathy Hornstuen firetrainer1@charter.net of the Charleston Community Enhancement Corporation if you are interested. She will put the first 4 volunteers to respond in touch with the project leader. Workers are also needed Friday, December 25th. Help is needed to distribute the meals, the busiest time is from 11 am-3 pm. A couple people to help with cleanup are also needed (3-5pm). All workers are welcome to eat a dinner at the church or take one home. Dinners last year were ham, potatoes, bread, green beans, and a dessert.
