The 29-year old grandson of an 80-year old murder victim is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday, Dec. 12 on the charge of Murder I in a Coos Co. Circuit Court.  James Jay Thomasson was arrested Sunday night after police were summoned to a report of a deceased male in a driveway on Minnesota Ave. in the Englewood District of Coos Bay.  Elmer Lloyd Dennis was found near his garage.  According to District Attorney R. Paul Frasier, he died of homicidal violence.  Thomasson was found hiding under a deck on the property.  Law enforcement used a Tazer to remove him.  He was taken to Bay Area Hospital for observation and released Monday, but then transported to the county jail at Coquille.
