A speaker, spirits and a silent auction await attendees at “After Hours at the Library”, Coos Bay Public Library Foundation’s annual fall fundraiser on Saturday, November 4th.   Events kick off at 7 p.m. with samplings from Stillwagon Distillery, 7-Devils Brewing Co., Wild Rose Vineyard, Chetco Brewing Co, and Bayside Coffee paired with delicious savories from Black Market Gourmet.  Grant McOmie of the popular KGW TV’s “Grant’s Getaways” will be the evening’s guest speaker. McOmie writes and produces stories and programs about the people, places, outdoor activities, and environmental issues of the Pacific Northwest.  He has received numerous Emmy Awards, shares the distinct honor of the Edward R. Murrow Award for News Coverage from the Radio-Television News Directors Association, as well as many Oregon news awards.  Throughout the evening, participants can make final bids on silent auction items including works by local artists, a 2-night Stay at Loft by the Lighthouse, various ticket packages to local theaters, food and goods from local businesses and much more!  Tickets are on sale at Coos Bay Public Library, Art Connection, and Black Market Gourmet: $30 in advance or $35 at the door.  For more information, call 541.269.1101 x 229.
