City of Coos Bay news release. In conjunction with the Wastewater Treatment Plant No. 2 construction project, there is a conveyance pipe that is being installed. This pipeline is utilizing directional drilling (trenchless) technology. This method helps avoid damage to the roads and utilities and minimizes the impacts to residents and businesses along the pipe route. Typically, construction occurs between 7am and 6pm. However, it is anticipated that the contractor will be working after normal working hours at the locations indicated below on Wednesday November 1st and Thursday November 2nd. Please exercise caution around these work zones.
