Following a four-day closure due to a massive landslide south of Port Orford, the Oregon Dept. of Transportation says one-lane could re-open as early as Friday afternoon, Jan. 13. Due to heavy rains, a 200-yard section of the coastal route slid towards the ocean, 15-feet down, and 12-feet to the west. A contractor has built a temporary single lane over the 12-foot drop that will be managed by flaggers.
