On Monday, September 20, 2021 at approximately 11:28 AM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single motor vehicle crash on Hwy 164 near milepost 1. Preliminary investigation revealed a Nissan Frontier, operated by Michelle Duclos (58) of Jefferson, was northbound when it left the roadway and struck a cement bridge abutment. Duclos sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. Hwy 164 was closed for approximately 3.5 hours.
