On Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at approximately 11:02 A.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 199 near milepost 39. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Cadillac XT6, operated by Rumaldo Salcedo (44) of Crescent City, California, was southbound when it attempted to pass another vehicle, lost control, left the roadway and struck a tree. Salcedo sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.
