On Thursday, October 26, 2023, at 7:52 a.m., the Oregon State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on Hwy-211, near milepost 8, in Clackamas County. The preliminary investigation indicated a Ford Focus, operated by Bradley J Burchard (43) of Sherwood, was eastbound when it left the roadway for unknown reasons and struck a tree. The vehicle caught fire as a result of the collision and was extinguished by Molalla Fire. The operator (Burchard) was declared deceased at the scene. The highway was impacted for approximately 2.5 hours during the on-scene investigation. OSP was assisted by Molalla Fire, Mollala Police Department, and ODOT.
