On Tuesday, March 1st, 2022 at about 9:41PM, Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle on Hwy 30 near milepost 21. Preliminary investigation revealed that a white Chevrolet Tahoe, operated by Rachel Honl (29) of Warren, was travelling westbound on Hwy 30 and struck pedestrian Michael Bisogni (66) of Scappoose, who was walking within the lanes of travel. Bisogni suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Honl was not injured. Honl remained at the scene and cooperated with law enforcement. Hwy 30 was closed for 2.5 hours following the crash. OSP was assisted by the Scappoose Fire Dept., Scappoose Police Dept., Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, and ODOT.
