Oregon State Police (OSP) troopers are continuing the investigation into Saturday night’s fatal pedestrian crash that occurred on Highway 36 near Cheshire. On Saturday May 4, 2019 at approximately 11:30PM, (OSP) Troopers and Emergency Responders were dispatched to the report of a vehicle versus pedestrian crash on Hwy 36 at milepost 44. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Ford Ranger pickup operated by, Leslie Husted SELLARS (male), age 79, from Cheshire, was traveling westbound on Hwy 36 and collided with an adult male pedestrian that was in the lane of travel. The adult male pedestrian was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. SELLARS was not injured and is cooperating with investigators. The adult male pedestrian has not been identified and investigators are working on positively identifying him.
