Four people were transported to Bay Area Hospital in Coos Bay Friday afternoon, April 5, following a single-vehicle accident just south of the Hwy. 101 & Hwy. 42 interchange south of the Bay Area. According to reports, 55-year old Felix Maxwell attempted to pass another vehicle at a high-rate of speed and the Mercury Marauder left the roadway. Two of the occupants had to be extricated.
