On Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at approximately 5:35 P.M. Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to the report of a two vehicle crash on Hwy 58 mile post 31.5 near Oakridge. Preliminary investigation revealed that a white Ford F350, operated by Mark Landesman (76) of Turner, OR, was turning eastbound onto Hwy 58 from Westfir Rd. The F350 turned into the path of a green Nissan PU, operated by Jaime Bustamante Gomez (41) of Eugene, OR. that was traveling westbound on Hwy 58. The passenger in the Nissan, Santokh Singh (71) of Eugene, OR sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased. All other persons involved sustained minor injuries.
