On Thursday, October 8, 2020 at approximately 9:00 P.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to a single vehicle crash on Hwy 99 near milepost 16. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Chevrolet Trailblazer, operated by Alexander Novin (33) of Vancouver, was southbound when it went off the road and struck a large boulder. Novin sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased.
