OSP report – On Thursday, December 31, 2020 at approximately 10:27 A.M., Oregon State Police Troopers and emergency personnel responded to single vehicle crash on Interstate 84 near milepost 238. Preliminary investigation revealed that a Freightliner CMV, operated by Chauncey Rife (41) of Midvale, Utah, was eastbound when it left the roadway. Investigators believe Rife possibly had a medical event before the crash. Rife was pronounced deceased.
